COJG is available for small, medium and large businesses! The program can provide up to $10,000 per employee to cover the costs of their skills upgrading through an eligible third-party trainer! Through the COJG program, 2/3 of the costs of training can be covered!

Employer OJG Eligibility
- The employer commits to contributing the required employer share
- Employ the individual selected for training at the time of the training. If the employer has hired an unemployed individual to fill a vacancy, the offer of employment can be conditional upon the individual having completed training and subject to the employer’s regular probationary period
- Be a legal entity and continue to be a legal entity throughout the term of the transfer payment agreement
- Have a physical location in Ontario and have been actively operating or carrying out business at that location for at least one year prior to application
- Comply with all applicable legislation, including, but not limited to, the Human Rights Code, the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, the Occupational Health 6 Ontario Job Grant and Safety Act (OHSA), and the Employment Standards Act, 2000 (ESA)
- Maintain appropriate Workplace Safety and Insurance Board or private workplace safety insurance coverage
- Have adequate third party general liability insurance as advised by its insurance broker
